Highly reactive, low-shrinkage formulations specifically customized for Sri Lanka's humid climate and industrial applications.
Sri Lanka's manufacturing industry is undergoing a major technological transformation. Historically centered on primary agriculture, textiles, and wood products, the country is rapidly shifting toward value-added manufacturing processes. Key sectors, including export-oriented paper packaging, commercial offset printing, high-grade teak furniture manufacturing, and automotive coatings, are facing strict environmental regulations from Western export markets. The European Union and the United States (which represent major trading partners for Sri Lankan goods) enforce strict restrictions on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hazardous chemical emissions.
This regulatory shift has accelerated the replacement of conventional solvent-borne paints and varnishes with energy-efficient UV-curable technologies. At the core of high-performance radiation curing is the Epoxy Acrylate Oligomer. Renowned for its rapid polymerization, outstanding hardness, high chemical resistance, and rich gloss, epoxy acrylates provide the essential mechanical properties required for modern coatings and printing inks.
"By integrating advanced UV-curable monomers and oligomers, Sri Lankan manufacturers can achieve instantaneous curing times, reduced floor-space footprint, and complete elimination of solvent recovery systems, making their products highly competitive in the global market."
On a global scale, the photopolymerization market is shifting toward specialized, modified epoxy acrylates. While classic Bisphenol A epoxy acrylates dominate due to their affordability and high-speed curing, modern formulations demand specific performance upgrades, such as:
In Sri Lanka, local manufacturers face a unique challenge: managing high relative humidity and fluctuating ambient temperatures. These conditions require robust UV resins that resist moisture, maintain strong adhesion to substrates like metal, plastic, and high-oil woods (such as local teak), and do not yellow under high solar UV exposure. Guangdong Ever Ray Environmental Material Co., Ltd. addresses these specific local challenges with custom-modified epoxy acrylates, offering high reactivity, low shrinkage, and consistent batches.
Established in 2006, Guangdong Ever Ray Environmental Material Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of high-performance oligomers for UV curable resins. Our product portfolio includes advanced epoxy acrylates, polyurethane acrylates (waterborne, aliphatic, and aromatic), polyester acrylates, pure acrylates, and specialty functional modified acrylate oligomers.
Supported by a strong team of 15+ dedicated R&D technicians and holding over 10 utility and invention patents, we focus on technical innovation and environmental sustainability. We provide custom formulations that enhance reactivity, increase chemical resistance, and maintain high gloss across applications like wood, plastics, printing inks, and optical adhesives.
Partner With Ever Ray
Operating two modern chemical facilities in Guangdong province to ensure secure supply chains and consistent quality for international markets, including Colombo and regional hubs.
Guangdong Ever Ray operates two specialized production sites in South China. Our primary facility in Jiangmen, Guangdong, covers 10,000 square meters. To meet growing global demand, our second facility in Yunfu, Guangdong, covers 40,000 square meters. These facilities feature complete quality control, storage, and logistics support systems, with an annual capacity exceeding 20,000 tons across more than 10 production lines.
Epoxy acrylates are synthesized via the ring-opening reaction of epoxy resins (typically bisphenol A diglycidyl ether) with acrylic acid. The resulting molecule contains terminal acrylate double bonds that undergo free-radical polymerization under UV light exposure in the presence of a photoinitiator. The high concentration of aromatic rings in the bisphenol A backbone gives the cured film high hardness, excellent tensile strength, and exceptional thermal stability.
However, unmodified bisphenol A epoxy acrylates can suffer from brittle structures and low flexibility, resulting in poor adhesion to non-porous surfaces like plastics and metals. To address this, our team uses chemical modification processes (such as fatty acid or urethane modification) to lower viscosity, increase flexibility, and improve wet-adhesion performance without reducing curing speed.
Ceylon tea exports rely on premium packaging, including varnished paperboard and printed metal tins. Our 6100D and 6805A-1 resins offer high gloss and minimal odor, ensuring high-speed curing on offset press lines without migration risks.
For Sri Lanka’s wood furniture industry, wood species like teak and mahogany require hard, weather-resistant topcoats. Resins like 6102 and 6118 offer low shrinkage, prevent wood cracking, and protect against humidity.
Sri Lanka's apparel sector requires durable textile inks. Our modified epoxy acrylates provide the elasticity needed for screen printing on textiles and synthetic substrates while maintaining washing resistance.
To ensure consistent quality, our factories operate under the ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO14001 Environmental Management System. Production is managed via a flexible DCS fully computerized control system that monitors process parameters in real time. We source premium domestic and international raw materials and consult with UV material experts to maintain batch-to-batch stability.
Our commitment to green chemistry enables us to supply low-irritant, heavy-metal-free, and low-VOC oligomers that help manufacturers comply with global environmental standards.
